Resistance Box are used to starting and controlling the speed of AC & DC Motors in Colliery Haulage, Steel Mill, Rolling Winders, and Conveyors. Controlling the speed of AC Slip ring Motors in EOT Crane for all motions like Hoist, Long Travel, Cross Travel & also Luffing and Slewing by gradually cutting the step segment of resistance elements.

Generally from 0.5kw to 250kw, up to 600 volts.

Description:

Punched Stainless Steel Grid Resistance

• The unique arrangement of Punched Steel Grids in the Boxes with results unaffected of severe vibration.
• All electrical connections of Grids are made from the front of the boxes. Maintenance personnel need not go to the rear side of the boxes.
• The tapping of Resistances can be made from any desired position to suit resistance values of each step of each phase.
• Temperature rise is limited to a maximum of 275 above ambient.
• Ohmic Value ±10%

Wire Wound Type:

These are wound on Porcelain tubes of different gauges of Stainless Steel as per requirements. they are mainly used with A.C. Squirrel Cage motors for soft starting at reduced voltage.
